Young Person joins Interview Process

As part of Meadows Care recruitment, we like to invite our young people to take part wherever possible.  Usually they will just submit a series of questions they would like the candidates to answer.

On Thursday 9th May 2019 we had the pleasure of SL participating in the interviews.

SL had prepared a list of questions that he was going to split into 2 sections.  One part he would ask the group as a collective and then complete some 1:1 interviews.

SL walked into a room of strangers and introduced himself.  An amazing sight to see this young boy being able to look a group of people in the eye and ask them questions he had designed.

SL interacted really well with the candidates.

SL then went with his Manager, Steph to a room and completed solo interviews with the candidates.

At the end of this SL met and discussed positives and negatives from the candidates, and which ones he thought would be the best option to join his team of staff at the home.

For a young person to be able to have the confidence to walk into a room of strangers and ask specific questions was just a fantastic feeling, knowing he felt assured enough to speak in front of a group.

Well done SL.
